Is there a way i can improve in anything from my poem?
this is my first poem. it is suppose to rhyme but there doesn’t have to be a certain rhyme scheme. I have to make it kind of like the raven only a different animal and different setting. Once upon a doom filled night,along that God forsaken road,

whats the name of this musical?
okay so we are watching it in music class and i dunno the name. i think it was made in the 70s or 80s, but it took place in the 50s. it is based in new york city or brooklyn or something and there are these 2 gangs. one gang is white (sharks) and the other are portaricans(sp) (jets). or maybe the gang names were switched. but anyways.. a girl from one side, maria, falls in love with a guy, tony, from the other side and they are trying to find a way to be together without anyone knowing because if anyone knows they will get in trouble. but only 1 person knows and thats maria’s sister i think. and the sharks and jets are about to have an arm fight under some bridge. thats where we stopped. but does anyone know the name of this musical?

Which film portrayals of the Nazis are accurate, and which ones are exaggerated?
Many films regarding the Nazis regard them as inhumane monsters without a shred of conscience or emotion. However, the Milgram experiments show that normal people that are pulled off the street are able to commit atrocities just because they were following orders.

Also, some Nazis do not fit the category of war-like and antisemitic. Two prime examples are Oskar Schindler and Claus von Stauffenberg. Plus, many of the men in the military were drafted, and being a part of the Nazi Party was required by law. Some of them were sadistic, but that doesn’t mean that all of them were. Many of them were just young men trying to survive.

There are films like Downfall which portray the Nazis as human beings while being anti-Nazi at the same time, but most films exaggerate the Nazis. I’m not saying that Hitler was not evil; I’m simply trying to seperate fact from fiction.

When a film is made it is fiction unless it is specifically called a film of events as they really happen much like combat footage used in war movies. One can not make a film about real events unless it is made of the real event. Its much like a photo. A photo is a representation of a moment in time. It will never happen again exactly as it occurred because one can not go back in time - it is scientifically impossible to go back to an exact event. Well, films about real events have to be taken with a grain of salt.

In Germany during the Nazi era it was much safer to be a member of the Nazi Party and undermine the system from within than to try and openly fight them.
Just because someone was a member of the party doesn’t necessarily mean they were inhuman monsters like Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, Josef Mengele, Adolf Eichmann etc.
There were many people who used their membership of the party to help people rather than destroy them, for example Oskar Schindler.

Unfortunately, Hollywood has never allowed the truth to get in the way of a good story.

With very few exceptions the Nazis have turned out to be the perfect villains for Hollywood. Hollywood is ALWAYS fiction, always! Even if it claims to be a documentary, or (heaven forbid) a reality show, it was edited by someone with a viewpoint - it will always reflect that viewpoint.

I once read a description of the Klingons on the original Star Trek - "They were the perfect villains, they were pure evil, they were so nasty they built their spaceships without bathrooms to make themselves nastier. They were so evil they would fart in airlocks."

The Klingons are the Nazis of the future. Hollywood is always looking for identifiable bad guys - zombies are the current trend.

Beware of confusing ‘Nazi’ with ‘German’ and assuming all Germans were Nazis from 1933 - 1945; this is an oversimplification, and just not true. Stauffenberg, for example,was no Nazi and never a Party member.

Nazi Party membership never exceeded 10% of the population (the Party target) and the vast majority of the armed forces, particularly the senior officer corps (which were mostly members of the aristocracy), were not Nazi Party members.It was NOT required to be a Party member by law if your were in the military; the requirement was for all members of the military to take an oath of personal loyalty and obedience to Hitler.

Political leadership and administrators at all levels, and SS members would all have belonged to the Party, so can be described as Nazis.

Most 1960s and earlier movies - for example Battle of the Bulge, The Dirty Dozen and so on grossly exaggerate, stereotyping all Germans as Nazis, and stereotyping Nazis also.

After all, as you point out, Schindler was a Nazi Party member, and clearly wasn’t some evil barbaric goose stepping monster.

Ok, on with the story. Or stories.
The 1st thing I’ve noticed is that when I was like a toddler, I heard someone say from somewhere random my name. I looked at my cousin who heard it too. She said "it looks like god and jesus are saying your name at the same time!" I was like "yeah, hi!" to the sky, where I heard it.
Then, my birth mom was sleeping over at my house, and everyone was asleep. I heard footsteps in the kitchen. I was little then 2, and I was afraid it was a robber, so i looked out and nothing was there. I continued to try to get to sleep, but I kept on hearing footsteps.
Here’s where the real action begins, I was online and typing something to one of my friends on chat then I saw stuff with my own eyes, get pushed off the desk. I blinked and looked down to where they got pushed, my globe and my purse were sure down there, and they’re the ones who got pushed in the first place. Then, my glass dolphin was next to me, and all of a sudden the tail got lifted up and it got slammed down, and it shattered, completely out of nowhere! I checked the tail, and the tail was gone. I looked for the missing peices to it, but I couldnt find any, then I finally found one few months later, and it was as small as sand.
Also, at my grandma Janes house, I keep hearing Footsteps, and its NOT at my house.
I was at my grandma connies and she lives in an apartment building. (I knew everyone was asleep) I heard footsteps in the hallway and inside the room, and I prayed, it all stopped, then I faced the bathroom, the light was on and reflecting on the floor. I saw a shadow move really quickly through it, then I closed my eyes, prayed and turned my head torwards my cousin, my back facing up, then I felt things poking my back A LOT. I prayed and it was gone. It was only like 2 weekends ago, but I cannot stop thinking about it.
One more thing, every night before I go to sleep, I see a shadow standing by the window.

Greatest Tag Team Ever?
I have seen A LOT of great tag teams, but have whittled down my list to a few. If you want to throw in your team into the fray - I will consider it.

GREAT TEAMS that did not make it like Fabulous Freebirds, The Gangstas, Four Horsemen, the original DX, ANYONE partnered with Andre and others deserve mention.
THE HART FOUNDATION : Team that had power with the Anvil, but executed supremely due to the Dungeon. Bretts glory years in the WWF might have been his years as Champ as a tag team over Heavyweight champ. A FUN team to watch when on, which was often!
LEGION OF DOOM: PURE POWER! Hawk was the risk taker in their beginning, but as time moved on, they became more grounded on the mat and limited. A very popular team to millions. Animal was as strong as anyone on the roster.
SABU and RVD: Most EXTREME Team EVER! Before Sabu broke his neck again vs. Taz, this team was beyond insane in Phillys little bingo hall. They would dive 7-10 rows deep into the crowd multiple times a match, each time adding a twist to their dives trying to out do each other. The barb wire matches showed they were more that high flying pretty boys too!
THE DUDLEY BOYZ (ECW EDITION): If you ever saw the Dudley Family with Big Dick Dudley, Sign Guy, Dudley Dudley, LIl’ Snot Dudley, Chubby Dudley with their dad, Big Daddy Dudley, then you had F-U-N! Eventually the Dudleys got serious and MEAN! They pared the family down to DeVon, Buh Buh, Big Dick and Spike with Sign Guy as their manager. They were vile, rude, antagonistic and EXTREME! The craziest match I saw was when THE ORIGINAL GANGSTA jumped about 80 feet in the air (the equivalent of 4 ladders stacked on top of each other) on top of Buh Buh laying on a table. Neither moved for quite a long time! The Dudleys won the ECW tag team belts eight times! Team 3D is the only tag team in professional wrestling history to have held the WWF/World Tag Team Championship, World_Tag_Team_Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, WCW Tag Team Championship, ECW Tag Team Championship, NWA World Tag Team Championship, TNA Tag Team Championship, AJPW World’s Strongest Tag Team League 27s_Strongest_Tag_Team_League, & Hustle Super Tag Team Championship.
They won the WWE/World Tag Team belts eight times as well. Maybe the most popular heel team ever!
MR. FUJI & PROFESSOR TANAKA: One of only three teams to win the WWF tag titles three separate times (DEMOLITION, WILD SAMOANS) who got by on power and with the knowledge they had. These guys loves playing dirty and stretching the rules. Tanaka was the consummate general while the wild Mr. Fuji threw salt into opponents to blind them. Top notch heels!
THE UNDERTAKER and KANE: A short lived run, but fun while it lasted. One of the biggest teams ever, they used power mainly. There is always the possibility of reunion as each wrestler ages. If they ever got serious and practiced, they would dominate the weak tag team division presently in the WWE.
KURT ANGLE and CHRIS BENOIT: VERY short lived team that immediately went down as perhaps the most technically sound mat wrestling team ever. The mixture of Angles Olympic style wrestling with Benoits Hart Dungeon training worked very well together. Probably will never be duplicated, since Benoit was the last graduate of the now defunct Hart Dungeon. They had enough power to go with all the moves. May be able to beat every team I’ve listed due to their technical prowess.
DEMOLITION : WWE Magazine ranks this team as the greatest ever for good reason. They won their belts the first time in an era of great tag teams like no other and since never duplicated. Demolition ran roughshod over the rest of the tag team division, holding the titles for a record 478 days! Teams like Strikeforce, Twin Towers, Hart Foundation, The Brainbusters, The Colassal Connection to name just a few. Ax developed heart problems, so Smash was given a new partner named Crush. They regained the belts for a short time, but soon disbanded. The original DEMOLITION with Ax and Smash had a deadly finishing move that soon was banned after almost ending Rick Martel of Strikeforces career. THE DEMOLITION DECAPITATION was a move where Ax would hold the victim face up on his knee after giving him a back breaker. Mr. Fuji was their manager before stabbing them in the back, causing them to lose the belts to The Powers Of Pain, whom Fuji soon aligned with. Fuji rejoined DEMOLITION shortly before they disbanded.
OLE ANDERSON and GENE ANDERSON : Dominated the NWA in the mid 70’s. by winning the belts seven times from ‘75-’77. Gene was hurt and the team went on hiatus for a few years. They reunited in ‘81 and reclaimed the belts, which they held 5 months until Gene was injured into retirement. Ole would go on to win the belts once more a year later with Stan Hansen. Known for their fluidity and technical skills, the Andersons had a large stable in the NWA, which was later supplemented by their off spring. The Anderson family is to NWA as what the Hart family was to WWE. The best came from these families.

The real life brothers had five finishing moves, making them unpredictable. The Towering Inferno was a favorite with a pendulum back breaker by Stevie followed by a leg drop from the top rope by Booker. The Harlem Hangover was as effective too, a belly to back suplex by Stevie Ray, followed by a somersault leg drop combination by Booker T. Booker went on the win the WCW Heavyweight title five times before enjoying success in the WWE. Stevie retired and co-runs a wrestling school with Booker. Thus far, their top student to have made it is THE BOOGEYMAN, who Stevie still trains.

The Greatest Tag Team of All Time is "LOD" The Road Warriors. Hawk and Animal. The are the only true Tag Team that held every Major Wrestling Tag Title. AWA, NWA, WWF, WCW and the also won the very first Crockett Cup and Tag Champs in Japan. They are the only true grandslam tag champs. Here are some close seconds Freebirds Micheal Hayes and Bam Bam Terry Gordy, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson, Midnight Express, Nikita and Ivan Koloff, and The Strieners, Doom Butch Reed and Ron Simmons, Rockin Roll Express and The Skyscrapers Davey Spivey and Sid Vicious.
I can understand why Rick and Scott Steiner slamed Team 3-D the only really won 2 titles ECW and WWE. The WCW title were after it closed its doors and Vince made a joke out of there Titles like he is doing with ECW. Major Wrestling Promotion: AWA, NWA, WWF, WCW, All- Japan, New Japan. These are all the promotions Legion of Doom carried titles in.
