 Party Monster (2003)
IMDB rating: 5.90
Plot: Set in the New York club scene of the late 1980’s thru the 1990’s, a tale which chronicles the rise and fall of club-kid promoter ‘Michael Alig’ (qv), a party organizer, whose extravagant life was sent spiralling downward when he boasted on television that he had killed his friend, roommate, and drug dealer, Angel Melendez. Originally from Indiana, Alig moved to New York, and came to be an underground legend, known for his excessive drug use and outrageous behavior in the club world. At his peak, he had his own record label, and magazine, and hosted Disco 2000, one of the biggest club nights in New York in the ’90s. He was doing a lot of drugs, and as his addiction got worse, his party themes became darker and more twisted. Alig’s saga reached its tragic crescendo when he viciously murdered his drug dealer, Angel, by injecting him with Drano and throwing him in the East River. The power he wielded on the club scene made him feel untouchable, so he didn’t hestitate to boast of the murder. The press thought it was a publicity stunt—until Angel’s body washed ashore.

Which film portrayals of the Nazis are accurate, and which ones are exaggerated?
Many films regarding the Nazis regard them as inhumane monsters without a shred of conscience or emotion. However, the Milgram experiments show that normal people that are pulled off the street are able to commit atrocities just because they were following orders.
Also, some Nazis do not fit the category of war-like and antisemitic. Two prime examples are Oskar Schindler and Claus von Stauffenberg. Plus, many of the men in the military were drafted, and being a part of the Nazi Party was required by law. Some of them were sadistic, but that doesn’t mean that all of them were. Many of them were just young men trying to survive.
There are films like Downfall which portray the Nazis as human beings while being anti-Nazi at the same time, but most films exaggerate the Nazis. I’m not saying that Hitler was not evil; I’m simply trying to seperate fact from fiction.
Almost all are exaggerated. WWII was a time of propaganda
Antonious | Feb 07, 2010
When a film is made it is fiction unless it is specifically called a film of events as they really happen much like combat footage used in war movies. One can not make a film about real events unless it is made of the real event. Its much like a photo. A photo is a representation of a moment in time. It will never happen again exactly as it occurred because one can not go back in time - it is scientifically impossible to go back to an exact event. Well, films about real events have to be taken with a grain of salt.
tuffy | Feb 07, 2010
In Germany during the Nazi era it was much safer to be a member of the Nazi Party and undermine the system from within than to try and openly fight them.
Just because someone was a member of the party doesn’t necessarily mean they were inhuman monsters like Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, Josef Mengele, Adolf Eichmann etc.
There were many people who used their membership of the party to help people rather than destroy them, for example Oskar Schindler.
Unfortunately, Hollywood has never allowed the truth to get in the way of a good story.
Elizabeth | Feb 07, 2010
With very few exceptions the Nazis have turned out to be the perfect villains for Hollywood. Hollywood is ALWAYS fiction, always! Even if it claims to be a documentary, or (heaven forbid) a reality show, it was edited by someone with a viewpoint - it will always reflect that viewpoint.
I once read a description of the Klingons on the original Star Trek - "They were the perfect villains, they were pure evil, they were so nasty they built their spaceships without bathrooms to make themselves nastier. They were so evil they would fart in airlocks."
The Klingons are the Nazis of the future. Hollywood is always looking for identifiable bad guys - zombies are the current trend.
gaylene B | Feb 07, 2010
All the ones made by jews are inaccurate.
Adolf Hitler | Feb 07, 2010
Beware of confusing ‘Nazi’ with ‘German’ and assuming all Germans were Nazis from 1933 - 1945; this is an oversimplification, and just not true. Stauffenberg, for example, was no Nazi and never a Party member.
Nazi Party membership never exceeded 10% of the population (the Party target) and the vast majority of the armed forces, particularly the senior officer corps (which were mostly members of the aristocracy), were not Nazi Party members. It was NOT required to be a Party member by law if your were in the military; the requirement was for all members of the military to take an oath of personal loyalty and obedience to Hitler.
Political leadership and administrators at all levels, and SS members would all have belonged to the Party, so can be described as Nazis.
To answer your question:
Valkyrie
Kelly’s Heroes
A Bridge Too Far
Schindler’s List
I believe portray Nazi Party members/personnel accurately
Most 1960s and earlier movies - for example Battle of the Bulge, The Dirty Dozen and so on grossly exaggerate, stereotyping all Germans as Nazis, and stereotyping Nazis also.
After all, as you point out, Schindler was a Nazi Party member, and clearly wasn’t some evil barbaric goose stepping monster.

 True Lies (1994)
IMDB rating: 7.10
Plot: Special agent Harry Tasker gets out of the water outside a heavily guarded mansion, takes off his wetsuit, and there is a dinner jacket underneath. Harry strolls into a swanky party. Harry meets with Juno Skinner, steals some computer files, and escapes in a blaze of gunfire. He’s picked up by his partner, Albert “Gib” Gibson, and they return to the United States. Harry goes home to his wife Helen. Helen doesn’t know what Harry does because he pretends to be a computer salesman. Their 14-year-old daughter Dana is a sullen teenager, and Helen is so bored by the routine of her life that she’s on the verge of having an affair with used-car salesman Simon, who claims to be a spy. Harry is hot on the trail of a group of terrorists led by Salim Abu Aziz. Aziz and his men are smuggling nuclear weapons into the USA in pieces of Persian art, and Aziz plans to hold the country hostage in the name of the Crimson Jihad. Harry’s also out to save his marriage when he discovers Helen with Simon, who still claims to be a spy. Harry uses the Agency’s resources to give Helen a taste of the real thing. Harry blackmails Helen into seducing an enemy agent — Harry himself — in a hotel room, but their tryst is interrupted by Aziz’s men, who kidnap them and take them to one of the Florida Keys, where they’re preparing to detonate their nuclear bomb. Harry escapes and rescues Helen, and then they discover that Aziz has gone to Miami and kidnapped Dana. Harry uses a harrier jet to get to Miami, where he sets out to rescue Dana.

what do i do about this capricorn?
we have known each other for over the year via the internet. we were supposed to meet each other, but then he has become upset with me saying that he doesn’t know the true me because he found out a year ago that i was chatting and talking with a group of people he didn’t get along well with, but i was friends with one of the people and he told me it was still okay if i remained friends with that person and still talked with them. i tried to explain why i chatted with that group of people, but he doesn’t care because i guess he feels betrayed. i am a scorpio who is in a relationship with someone else and was willing to drop that relationship for him, but now it appears that he will see me if i get out of the relationship and prove myself trustworthy, although i’ve never lied to him during the time we’ve known each other. should i let him go? as time has gone on he has gotten more angry about little things that aren’t really justifiable.
he told me he was in love with now, but now is saying he is in love with the picture in his head (of me)
oops i mean he told me he was in love with me and now he is saying he’s not in love with me, but more in love with the picture of me in his head
It doesn’t sound like you’re willing to fore go your current relationship for this one so in my book i would put the capricorn on the back burner. It’s not just about you proving yourself for him he should have to you that he won’t hold this "grudge" if you guys DO pursue a relationship.
My best friend is a capricorn and im a scorpio usually we are right on the same page- when we’re not and my friend is acting up i let it go and let time heal some of the hurt feelings and then re-address it
good luck

 White Chicks (2004)
IMDB rating: 4.90
Plot: When brothers and fellow FBI agents Marcus (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans) accidentally ruin an otherwise painstakingly executed drug bust, getting back into the good graces of their boss becomes a high-priority assignment in itself. With this in mind, Marcus and Kevin take on a case far beneath their usual standards when they agree to escort socialite sisters Brittany (Maitland Ward) and Tiffany Wilton (Anne Dudek) from a private terminal at JFK Airport to their hotel room in the Hamptons. Once there, two considerably higher-ranking agents will take over the girls’ protection. The extra security is no mere perk of wealth, however, as it appears that Brittany and Tiffany have been targeted by a serial kidnapper. The FBI hopes to apprehend the perpetrator by using the girls as bait, unbeknownst to them. The plan may have worked if it weren’t for Kevin and Marcus, who manage to let the sisters in on the secret. Understandably, neither of them want any part in the process, so they force the brothers to come up with a radical solution: With the help of an FBI lab scientist, the very much African-American Kevin and Marcus will be transformed into two white women who could pass for Brittany and Tiffany. The agents must keep the charade up long enough to lure the kidnapper, but fooling everyone involved will be the job of their lives. Directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, White Chicks also features James King and Lochlyn Munro.

Second date tonight, should i ask her out for V-day?
I know it probably doesnt matter but as a background, i met this girl two weeks ago. she is white and im black.I’m going on a second date with her and I’m actually was surprise she even wanted to go on this date. We went out on our first date couple of weeks back and had a great time. She is a beautiful red head, sweet, amazing smile, funny and Intelligent and GORGEOUS. Me?..well Im not saying im bad looking, i do get my share of flirts and such but something just tells me we are just not in the same league
Anyways, She texted me the other day and ask if i want go for a drink…and so we will ….. Im starting to think the last time we went out i gave her a hug and a kiss on the chick and felt a slight turn off her face…almost kissed her on her lips. Anyways, i want ask her out for v-day if thing go well but how one do that? to early? to late? if i dont i am sure some guy will and I do really like the girl but i also do care about my ego. Plus, i wouldn’t want rush things and blow my one chance with such a lady
Thanks everyone…:)
yes you should it would be really cute and romantic!!
kina | Feb 04, 2010
just call her up and say "hey do you want to go do something on Vday" you have allot more to offer than you think. good luck
smeaty3 | Feb 04, 2010
Just tell her that a beautiful girl like her should have a date on valentines and if she doesn’t have any other offers you’d be honored to be the man to take her out.
Adelheid | Feb 04, 2010
Gooooo for Valentines Day man. Your not going to blow it by asking her out Valentines Day. Girls think that stuff is sweet and whatnot.
Maddddmike | Feb 04, 2010
go for it. tell her take a chance.
ps: valentines day sucks
me myself and i | Feb 04, 2010
.It’s fine to ask her out. As you said, if you procrastinate, someone else may beat you to it. Simply ask her if she’d like to go out with you next Sat or Sun (whichever evening you choose, since V-day is actually on Sunday). You don’t necessarily have to make a deal out of it being V-day…as you two haven’t been seeing each other long (one date so far) it’s a bit early to celebrate lover’s holidays.
Good luck! O

I got two suggestions for you!

Try Demi Lovato, she’s not just another disney star, trust me on that one! She did a duet with We the Kings, idk if you know/like them but I’d suggest looking up her music, she’s got so much talent!
Another suggestion is Evanescence, they’re supposed to be putting out a new cd this year possibly and their music is amazing! Their other cds are Fallen and The Open Door.
Hope that helped!

Lil Wayne & Eminem Songs?
I Know "Drop The World" off of Rebirth but are there any more songs with lil wayne and eminem ? They are my 2 favorite rappers and love "Drop The World" but can’t find anything else. I know there isn’t on any of his albums but maybe a mixtape ? I have 1,390 lil wayne songs on my itunes (Albums & Mixtapes) Can’t find 1 with both in a song.
Oh and forever…DUH !!! Great grammy performance by the 3 !
Oh and forever…DUH !!! Great grammy performance by the 3 !
They’re both in Forever, but I’m pretty sure outside of mashup’s you won’t find another. Lil’ Wayne had been wanting to do a song with Eminem until Forever & Drop the World, so those are the only two songs they’ve done together.
I think Drake said at the Grammies though that him, Wayne and Em are working on another collabo together before Drake’s album drops.

How much is this guitar worth?
I have a 1997 fender AMERICAN stratocaster roadhouse with texas special pickups it is lake placid blue with a white pearl pickguard I cant find a price any where or one like it on the internet does any one know what it is worth?
I couldn’t find a price for you but as always the real value is what an enthusiast will be prepared to pay.Probably the best palce for more info is to go to those who know. The fender community, they have members all over the world and someone will clue you up. http://www.fender.com/community/forums/v iewtopic.php?t=27507&view=previous&a mp;sid=281d557356ce6266938dec66d3686eaf and if you do not find out it’s value you’ll enjoy the fellowship.
Ol'grizzler | Dec 17, 2009
Hm… as far as I can tell its probably only worth 80% of the original price. It’s nothing special.
If you’re lucky and find someone whos totally interested (and is part idiotic-noob) then you may be able to get a small profit off it.
1997 fenders - not special unless des.d.

Feel depressed, all the time..suicidal thoughts since age 10?
Ok, well, here goes. My life has kind of sucked, since I was very young. I’m 16; my father was a sperm donor, so it’s just been my mother and I my whole life. I grew up in a trailer park, but when I was 9, my mother got a brain tumor. It was partially removed via surgery, but a portion was unable to be removed for fear of severing the significant blood vessel onto which the tumor had grown. For further correction, she was treated with radiation. This left her with debilitating headaches as a prolonged side effect. She has a family history of migraines, they have plagued her occasionaly since her twenties. The radiation treatment aggravated this, to a great extent. My mother could hardly function properly, and now, in addition, on any given day she could be crippled by an intense migraine headache. For a while, we lived off social security and food stamps. I was embarassed to bring friends to my home, as it was a rather old and beat up trailer. In 6th grade, we moved one town over, because we couldn’t afford our rent anymore. Our only option was a home for the elderly and disabled, because our rent would scale with income. As you can likely imagine, I was further embarassed to bring friends back to my place. This left me slightly socially awkward, as I was fairly shy. A few years later me moved down the street to another set of apartments that this same company managed. It was much older, though it was more cozy. I finally didn’t have to take an elevator to my own house! I was moderately less embarassed to bring people over. But that happiness did not last long. Our neighbors that lived in the apartment above us had mental illnesses, and were extremely stubborn in general. They would refuse to sleep in the night time, like the rest of the world; they had to sleep during the day and everyone else *had* to shut their damn mouths, sit in a corner and suck their thumbs all day so they wouldn’t be disturbed. Reality check, bitches. As well, they were not quiet people. They would bang and stomp all night long. When they were mad at us for waking them up during the day, they would stand above one of our bedrooms at 3 or 4 am and drop a bowling ball multiple times; it was quite obnoxious. Once, they even called the cops on me for watching TV too loud dduring the day. I assure you, it was no higher than 15 decibals. One of the two was bipolar; the other had a social disorder. On average, I got 1-2 hours of inconsecutive sleep each night. As you can imagine, come thursday or friday, it became extremely difficult to drag my ass out of bed. This led to me missing alot of school, which led to more social awkwardness. Just recently we moved back to the first apartment complex that this management company owns. Once again I am embarassed to bring friends to my house, and under no conditions would I bring a girl back to my place here. For one, it’s full of old ladies; some are insane, literally. They have nothing better to do with their lives than sit in the middle of the hallways on the recliner chairs watching everyone, then gossip about it later that night in the community room downstairs. Imagine how quickly word would get around were I to bring a girl to my place? That leads to an extremely awkward conversation that I don’t feel like having with my mother. I spend alot of time on my own, though inside, I crave positive attention. I’m extremely lonely, and my moderate shyness is not helping. Puberty was, and is, fairly difficult to go on your own. Sometimes I get sexual urges that are just so strong, there’s absolutely no point in fighting it. The use of the internet to.."fix" that problem doesn’t really help, either - it only makes me crave the real thing even more. As well, because of my slight social awkwardness, pubescent laziness, and lack of challenging material, I’ve always despised school. Yet every morning I still drag my ass out of bed and force myself through another awful day. My grades have been slipping lately, because I just don’t care anymore. Sure, college is in the back of my mind screaming at me to get off my lazy ass, but I have no motivation. Life just sucks. Well..I’ve felt slightly depressed for quite a long time, though it wasn’t until recently that I’ve lost most regard for my personal safety or wellbeing. When I was younger, my grandmother would often bring me by my cousin’s place to visit my aunt, her two daughters and her son, Charlie, whom we all called Chaz. Charlie was always more like a father to me than a cousin; whenever I came around, he just dropped whatever it was he was doing and took me to play basketball next door or would try to teach me to play the electric guitar. But about a month ago, his apartment burned down, and he never made it out. My mother was seriously affected by his death, and she talks about him almost daily. I myself am NOT the type of person who wants to talk about these things. I prefer to deal with my shish on my own. My mother would badger me to talk, regardle
dude ok listen to me you have all the reason in the world to have these feelings but you have so much to live for just think happy thoughts screw the depressed feeling make yourself happy think about happy things don;t succumb to these feeling it’s a hard to think like this but once you got it will work remember just think the past is the past nothing you can do but you can encourage a better future you only live once what’s the point in having bad thoughts enjoy life while you can only have one life to live

you’ve had a rough upbringing.. its good you’ve managed to write down your thoughts, i’d say before you start to change your life you should find a way to channel your emotions and depression.
maybe you could even write a novel about your experiences as you seem quite good at wording what you want to say if you try. it’ll get things off your chest.
later on you need to try stop using your past as a reason to feel down and out. change the way you think about the situations your in and only make the best of it. think positively. you are in school, work hard and use it as a temporary escape.
doing well, despite circumstances makes you a strong man.
good luck

Call the suicide hotline in the phone book to vent your feelings and have someone to talk your problems out with and they will give you ideas and referrals for help.

It’s very unfortunate, but nevertheless a reality. Life is sometimes a bit**. You are justified in feeling worried or uncertain about things, we all do, but MUST COPE. There is no other way but to stand strong, re-assure youself, and survive. Yet, we can pause for moments of grief and anxiety, as long as we do not dwell on them, or let our fears take over. Obviously you are sensitive, and would rather succeed and feel better, if not happy most of the time? Perhaps you can share this with a teacher, priest, pastor, friend or relative, doctor or psycholgist. It may just be a chemical imbalance with serotonin, dopamine and endorphins. The appropriate medications are SSRI’s, or I prefer one little Mirtazapine pill, see a doctor and get started building your future.

Don’t hurt yourself. Know that God can help you live a better life if you want Him to help you. You can have a personal relationship with God by saying the prayer below. God is our Creator, all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal, holy, love. God loves us and sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can go to heaven if we know and follow Him. Forever means without end — time on and on without death. Forever is what happens after we die. Either we go to heaven and be with God forever, or we go to hell which is very bad and painful forever. The good people who are saved believers in Jesus Christ go to heaven. The bad people go to hell. We need to know and follow God in this world to get to heaven in the next world. We follow God by loving and obeying Him and loving others for Him. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is our bridge to God. Jesus died on the cross to cancel our sins. We need to accept Jesus into our life as our Lord and Savior forever to receive God’s blessing and forgiveness plus go to heaven to be with God forever after we die. This is about being a born-again Christian. Faith in God is a gift from God. You can pray for faith in God. Just speak out and ask God for the faith to believe in Him and to follow Him. Some people find faith in God when they realize the beauty in the world is made by God. Evolution can’t explain the world’s natural beauty, for example, the parks in the world, animals, flowers, peacocks, sunsets, butterflies, rainbows, etc. After you have your faith on, you can pray a sinner’s prayer to be a born-again Christian. This prayer is very important and should be said with a sincere heart and faith in God. This is the prayer: "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. I have done the following sins (state these out) and I pray to discontinue these sins. I pray to receive Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior forever. In Jesus’ name, amen." I’m Lutheran and I like the Baptist churches too. You could check out a Christian church and also see about their weekly Bible study group as a good way to learn about God’s will for your life. You can pray to God about your daily life and have a Christian church pray for you.

How well does a chemical straightening done at a salon work?
i have frizzy and puffy hair that has a slight curl in it only on one side of my head. i can’t get it to lay flat and straight EVER. i’ve tried everything (special shampoos, conditioners, serums, moose, blow drying, flat ironing) NOTHING WORKS!
-is the chemical straightener worth the money?
-does it really make your hair lay straight, flat, and smooth?
-how long does it last?
-is there anything i should do/use after i get a chemical straightening?
-is there anything i should NOT do/use after i get a chemical straightening?

Have you visited this site? Do you like old vintage, or whatever you call it music?
"The Roots Listening Room". They have music from the 20’s 30’s. I loved the gospel harmony. " The Bald Headed End of the Broom" that is a good one, and "My Wife Died Last Night", aren’t they morbid. This is our heritage in
country music. Of course, those last two are not Christian songs. Lots of good old fiddle music on here.
I enjoyed singing along with those hymns so much. I remember a family group which came to the gospel singings, had such wonderful harmony. "Land Where the Living Waters Flow", that is so beautiful. If you have seniors in your home, they might really enjoy this. I am only 62, but I know a lot of those old hymns from memory. I am going to play along on the piano with some of these.
Did you know, I am sure you did, that you can shrink this window, with the middle button, then take your little mouse pointer, put it on the edge of that sceen, a little hand will grab the edge, you can pull it in some more, then get another internet explorer screen going, do the same. Pretty soon you can have four screens at once. Then you can listen to music as you do answers, and research things. I rarely, ever, do this, because I
have problems seeing this here as it is. . I zoom it larger under "page" on the tool bar to 125 percent unless it cuts off material. You can also go to the translating sites if you are worried about grammar, type it in in something, have it translated to another language, or I guess, type it in English, they might correct it. I have not done that, BUT i have translated
to other languages. They are free. The sites I mention here are free.
You can download these songs onto the MP3. I have a problem getting mine to download them, save them onto the MP3 …that thing you play the songs on. If you look at the top of the player, it will say library, and usually you can save the songs onto your pc. Fiddle with it, if you have not done it before, you can figure it out. It is not going to tear up the pc.
This site has all sorts of old music.. Oh, and here is another trivia site
123facts. Do you look up the answers to those questions. I do not.
I lose out because I do not know current music, current fiction, the stuff like Harry Potter, teen stuff, or young stuff, or football teams,
or current movies. I do not know rock bands. I don’t listen to rock. I do not watch TV, when I did, I watched crime shows, movies, , or quiz shows
yeah. I am druooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Merry Christmas. Happy New Year.
zoom. I need my glasses changed. The right lens is made wrong, it is tilted or something, bifocal, trifocal are not where they should be.. I have to close my right eye a lot because It is wrong. It was not a senior citizen person who made this lens or fitted me for it. Not had this happen since a teen, making wrong prescription, or messing up my glasses.
You are so right!
Thank you for that.
It’s so hard to find good music today.

Thank you for posting the website. I figured out you are Dru several paragraphs before you told us.
Music is very healing and the more we listen the better we feel, at least with music we enjoy. One of my favorite songs is "I’ll Fly Away", it’s in two movies I love, The Apostle and Oh! Brother
