Trilogy of Terror (1975) IMDB rating: 7.00 Plot: Three horror anthology stories featuring Karen Black in four different roles playing tormented women. In the first story, Julie Eldridgex (Karen Black) is a sexually repressed high school teacher who is blackmailed by one of her students for a past indiscretions which she played an unwilling part. But the student is unaware that Julie plots to turn the tables on him the first chance she gets. In the second story, Millicent Larimore (Karen Black) is a plain-looking, almost reclusive woman whom lives with her amoral twin sister Therese (also Karen Black) whom delights in tormenting her. In the final story, Amelia (Karen Black… again) in a solo horror story monologue plays a mother-dominated woman who buys an African Zuni fetish doll for her latest boyfriend in which the doll comes to life and terrorizes her in her own apartment.

It shows the same reality/action from different characters’ perspective.

I thought of it watching the simpsons episode with Homer’s Day, Bart’s Day and Lisa’s Day (called Trilogy of Error, off of Trilogy of Terror, I checked) but can’t remember its name.

From the film the most I remember is the action coming together in someone getting run over by a car near the end.

Family relationship hell!!?
I need help sorting out my parents relationship with me and my wife.?
My mother fell out with my wifes parents a long time ago because she snooped around asking people about them and then phoned them and asked a load of personal stuff which upset them.Then she expected me to chose between her or my wife. I stood by my wife and so she never came to our wedding and very rarely contacts us or aknowledges our baby at any time other than Christmas.

My father and step mum have also fallen out with us over a whole load of petty things that they have been stewing over for ages. We forgot a birthday, had to ask them to look after our dog at very short notice when my wifes nan fell ill. (we were staying in a hotel and asked if they would mind looking after our dog an extra day so we could stay an extra day at the hotel but they said no) we bought some stuff off them and then my wife found out that they had made a small profit on it, they only live 5 miles away from us but rarely pop over to see us or our new baby which we could have done with after my wife gave birth as she had a very hard labour (vontuse, forceps and episiotemy)

Dad and step mum felt that her parents were there too much and they dont like them.

All petty stuff really. Anyway, my dad would visit on the odd occasion and just go on about how my mum left him 5 years ago for another man and that my brother hates me for what happened to my mother. and that my wife and her parents are bad and the situation is all their fault and my wife is just like my mother.

My wife basicly had had enough of the grief we were getting and had been getting eversince we got engaged…my dad thought we got engaged when we did because he was away and it meant my mum could come and celebrate with us (she basicly invited herself), I got an award at work where my parents could come to the ceremony, my dad wouldnt come if my mum was coming, my dad and step mum felt we got married too early and had a baby too early, my mum refused to come to our wedding after the argument with my wifes parents and I’d stood by my wife, my brother and I own a house together and he kept taking the house account overdrawn and I had to keep bailing him out and he hasnt ever aknowledged our baby or seen him because of the situation with my mother.

My dad wont go and see my brother because he wants to be invited and wont just turn up. (he says he has some issues with autism/ dyslexia / agrophobia or something)

My brothers been driven to a breakdown because of the stress with our family and he’s given up his job.

My wife hates my family because of all this **** and so one evening when my dad and step mum came over, there was an awkward atmosphere and the next day I got a phone call at work from my step mum wanting to know what was up. I just played it down at first but then she emailed my wife and bollocked her so my wife replied then she got another email and now my wife wont entertain visiting my dad and step mum or letting our little boy anywhere near my step mum. She gets so upset if I say I’m going to as when ever I do i have to just sit there and listen to how bad we’ve been, how it’s all our fault, that my wife is behaving like my mother, that we’ve caused so much upset and when I get home I just feel like I want to run away from everyone and never come back and I’m bloody 32 years old! We havent seen my dad since November and while I really want to see him because he is my dad, because of how upset my wife gets and the fact that I dont want to sit there and listen to them slagging me and my wife off, I havent. Therefore I keep getting emails about how I need to get my priorities sorted and stand up to my wife and go round and see them. An email which my wife read before I knew about it as she was checking my emails for me while i was away. Now she feels even stronger hate towards my step mum for sending it. This is so complicated and long!!! I know it’s my responsibility to stand by my wife and I have and will but God it’s being made so hard.

Has anyone else ever had such a load of crap to deal with and if so, how did you deal withit?

We are moving away in june. Cant wait!!!

Second date tonight, should i ask her out for V-day?
I know it probably doesnt matter but as a background, i met this girl two weeks ago. she is white and im black.I’m going on a second date with her and I’m actually was surprise she even wanted to go on this date. .It’s fine to ask her out. As you said, if you procrastinate, someone else may beat you to it. Simply ask her if she’d like to go out with you next Sat or Sun (whichever evening you choose, since V-day is actually on Sunday). You don’t necessarily have to make a deal out of it being V-day…as you two haven’t been seeing each other long (one date so far) it’s a bit early to celebrate lover’s holidays.

Yogurt with blueberrys is my daughters favorite! I try to alternate between cold cereal and egg products-so she doesn’t get bored. Some days she has toast and a bananna, or eggs and a clementine.

Does this sound fishy? Is this vet just lazy or did he really not think it was serious?
I got my dog spayed on January 29th. The vet told me to return in ten days to have the sutures removed, that would be today. On Saturday I noticed the incision site was looking moist and red, and by that night it was definitely pussy and very warm to the touch. Sunday I tried phoning my vet who has office hours on Sunday but they were closed. I figured since I was bringing her in today it would be okay to wait until morning, since her appetite and behavior hadn’t changed, and the incision didn’t seem to be causing her any discomfort. I gave her a doggie Aspirin, and called it a night. So I took her in to the vet today and told them what was going on. They argued that I was bringing her in 2 days early, which was not the case, as today is the tenth day, and then didn’t want to let me see the vet. Finally I did get in to see him, he looked at her and said she seemed fine, that it was nothing to worry about, the staples had actually cut into her skin surrounding where the incision was. I’m really beyond words. He removed the staples and sent me on my way. Now I’m at home and I’m just fuming. I don’t ever want to take my dog back there again, and LUCKILY I have some keflex left over from an injury she’d had last fall, and I decided to give her that, but I’m just so angry the vet didn’t offer me any sort of advice on caring for this infected wound, he just told me not to let her run around outside. I’m so frustrated about the situation. Am I over reacting? I mean, the incision is definitely infected…I work in a medical office and see plenty of infections, so I’m not just over exaggerating, but I feel like this vet just kind of blew me off. He didn’t seem very interested in what I had to say at all. He just talked over me and said it was okay, nothing to worry about, and left the exam room…

Don’t go back to that vet. Find another, and I would give them a call and (politely) let them know why they were losing my business, and that I would be telling all my friends/family to not use their services. Even if you were overreacting (doesn’t sound like you were), the vet should have stayed and explained what was going on and why the wound was ok.

Crop circles were started as a joke by a couple of farmers who went out at night with a tractor and dragged a log behind them to created designs in the fields, and then laughed at everyone down the pub who was taking these things seriously. Even after they publicly admitted to its being a big hoax, and telling how they did it, people have insisted on believing they’re put there by aliens for goodness knows what reason.

Critique this scene in my book? (Short)?
Okay so I want to know what you think of this scene and I really want critique so any advice, rewrites, or help is appreciated! thx!

background info (The scene takes place in the middle of the book): The main character is the "I" and she is an angel but nobody knows but her which is why she struggles with her feelings for the guy that she is with. Rave is also an angel and is Tyson’s guardian angel. The main character is Tyson’s sister’s(Lena) guardian angel.

My phone buzzed in the silent room. Lena and I had been studying all afternoon for finals that started in two days. Lena was sprawled out on her bad skimming through a Chemistry textbook while mindlessly nibbling on an apple. I on the other hand was sitting on the floor back leaning against the wall busying myself with history notes.
Grabbing for my phone I flipped it open with my thumb.

I smiled to myself, and then went back to the history notes as if nothing had happened.
Two and a half hours later I stood up and gathered my stuff.
