recently… "The Orphan"…it isn’t even very scary…more like suspenseful…but does have a twist that you would NOT think of.

Birdy.
Classic you have to watch it. A very young Nicholas Cage and Mathew Modine.
Twists at the end are common now but this was the first film i saw with one and still the best. Made around 1980 i think.

Caz has gone for one of my favourite films in The Prestige. Absolutely incredible twist and almost unpredictable. Twelve Monkeys (Bruce Willis) and Angel Heart (Mickey Rourke) are very good too.
I just mentioned it in a previous question but the coming together, rather than twist in Franklyn (Ryan Phillippe) is a very good example of contemporary film making done to it’s best effect.
